MYRA Community Involvement
MYRA is proud to be an active supporter for a number of charities and community events each year. Often our support is for charities that are close to home and support the interests of staff.
MYRA’s engagement in supporting the local community
with the United Way
Our latest fundraiser got up close and personal to some – we had a head-shaving contest to raise money for the United Way.
The MYRA Mad-Dogs
Each spring and summer you can find the “MYRA Mad-Dogs” swinging bats and hitting balls on the local softball fields.
CIBC’s Run for the Cure
For many years MYRA has “Gone Pink” supporting the fund-raising efforts for Breast Cancer Awareness through CIBC’s Run for the Cure. We have been very successful raising money through on-line auctions, BBQ’s, garage sales and bottle drives.
Royal Jubilee Hospital Renal Unit
MYRA was involved in fund-raising to purchase a specially-designed stationary bike for the Royal Jubilee Hospital Renal Unit.
BC Lions Society 24-Hour Relay

For over 5 years “running”, MYRA has recruited all of our runners (and walkers) and headed to the UVic track to support the BC Lions Society 24-Hour Relay.
Youth at Risk - Rowing Corporate Challenge

MYRA has participated in the Rowing Corporate Challenge in both a Quad and Defender Eight boats – coming in as one of the top fundraising teams for Youth at Risk.
Golf Tournaments

MYRA has also sponsored a number of Golf Tournaments – with games and prizes (and balloons!) to raise money for the Cridge Center.
Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life

We lit up the skies with our lanterns and stayed up through the night during the Relay for Life to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society.
Canadian Blood Services Partners for Life Program
MYRA employees have been donating blood in the Canadian Blood Services Partners for Life program since 2005.
Fundraising for the United Way

The United Way has been a key fundraising event for MYRA for over 10 years; each year with different and unique ideas to raise money and have fun!

MYRA's Christmas party created this lovable selection of bears for donation to children in need.
Helping the Homeless and Working Poor

MYRA is a long-term supporter of The Mustard Seed food bank and the Victoria Cool Aid Society.
