Intermediate Citrix Technical Analyst: Full-Time – Victoria Position

For 27 years, MYRA Systems has provided information technology (IT) solutions and technology infrastructure services focused on support, design, planning and implementation to our customers. We specialize in supporting businesses that use UNIX, Windows, networks and related technologies.

MYRA provides services ranging from project-based technical services to fully-managed infrastructure operations. We manage and operate the technology infrastructure for corporate and business applications that support real estate and property management, government, property assessment, natural resources/GIS, biotechnology, retail, financial services, transportation, telecommunications and others.

We are currently seeking an Intermediate Citrix Technical Analyst in our Victoria office. This position is in our Professional Services division. MYRA is interested in qualified candidates who enjoy working in a fast paced team environment, who are outgoing and quick thinking and welcome technical challenges in a professional and confident manner.

Core responsibilities for this position include:

  • Migrating, upgrading and implementing MS Windows & Citrix environments including Windows Server, Windows Desktop, Active Directory and Microsoft Networking
  • Supporting and troubleshooting Windows Servers and Terminal Services / RDS / Citrix environments
  • Leading and implementing both Citrix and Windows technical opportunities with external customers
  • Desktop image management, release management, lifecycle process management
  • Desktop image design and implementation
  • Desktop image management software support and implementation (SCCM, Altiris, XenClient)
  • Supporting virtual environments and related storage solutions
  • Working closely with technical teams and project managers, external vendor partners, and customers to ensure smooth implementations and transitions
  • Providing sales support for products and services such as product demonstrations, whiteboard sessions, requirements gathering with external customers

Preferred skills & certifications:

  • MCITPTM (Enterprise or Server Administrator) or MCSE designation with 3+ years of experience
  • Current CCA (Citrix Certified Administrator) certification
  • Ability to assist MYRA’s Business Development and Professional Services teams on designing and architecting solutions for the customer
  • Ability to work effectively with project managers and technicians; and be self-directed for a wide variety of assignments and projects
  • Excellent interpersonal and English verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong industry knowledge of application and desktop virtualization

Desirable requirements for this position are:

  • Post secondary degree
  • Either a XenApp CCA and/or a XenDesktop CCA
  • 3+ years of experience supporting and administering production Citrix based operating environments for customer environments of over 50 servers
  • Management and administration of Tier 1 hardware (HP, Dell, IBM, etc.)
  • Experience supporting and securing networks (routers, firewalls)
  • Experience in scripting and/or programming
  • Willingness to travel within BC if required
