SYSTEMS ENGINEER (back to list)

For the position of Systems Engineer, MYRA is interested in a UNIX Technical Analyst with the ability to capture customer requirements, configure optimal product solutions, and present technical solutions. Candidates must have a a strong working knowledge of Sun enterprise server hardware; strong hands-on UNIX system administration experience; Sun Competency Enterprise Certification or equivalent experience; Veritas Data Protection Certification or equivalent experience; and excellent presentation, verbal and written English skills.

Preference will be given to candidates with a university degree or equivalent training and experience.

The role of Systems Engineer involves providing pre- and post-sales technical and consulting services and working collaboratively with sales staff and reseller partners to support the sales cycle.

SENIOR UNIX TECHNICAL ANALYST (back to list)

MYRA is interested in qualified Senior UNIX Technical Analysts who welcome technical challenges in a professional and confident manner and enjoy working in a team environment. Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years experience supporting production UNIX operating environments, a university degree in computer science and well-developed oral and written English communication skills.

Preference will be given to candidates who have developed and maintained expertise and certification in technology domains such as network security, network architecture and storage strategies. As MYRA supports the Sun Microsystems and Cisco product lines, preference will be given to candidates with experience and training in these vendors' product sets. Experience with application development, Oracle support and programming languages, such as Java and perl, would also be an asset.

Assignments for Senior UNIX Technical Analysts include implementing major computer infrastructure changes, leading and mentoring technical teams, assuming full responsibility for assignments, and presenting technical solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.

UNIX TECHNICAL ANALYST (back to list)

For the position of UNIX Technical Analyst, MYRA is interested in individuals with a strong desire to learn, attention to detail, pride in a job well done and a willingness to take on new challenges. Candidates must have some experience with UNIX,a minimum of 1 year of experience working in the IT field and well-developed oral and written English communication skills. Also, candidates must enjoy working in a team and have the ability to work independently and assume personal responsibility for their assignments.

Preference will be given to candidates with a university degree in computer science. An understanding of technology domains, such as networking and security, and exposure to scripting languages would also be an asset.

Assignments for UNIX Technical Analysts include participation in teams led by Project Managers where the technician works to implement major computer infrastructure changes, proactively identifying potential technical issues and solutions and preparing detailed implementation plans and customer presentations. UNIX Technical Analysts are encouraged to identify and escalate delivery issues to appropriate team members.

INTERMEDIATE WINDOWS TECHNICAL ANALYST (back to list)

MYRA is interested in qualified Intermediate Windows Technical Analysts who welcome technical challenges in a professional and confident manner and enjoy working in a team environment. Candidates must have an MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer), well-developed oral and written English communication skills, and a minimum of 3 years direct experience supporting production Windows 2003/2000/NT-based operating environments.

Preference will be given to candidates with network experience supporting routers, switches, hubs and firewalls.

Assignments for Intermediate Windows Technicians include supporting and troubleshooting Windows 2003/2000/NT and WTS/TS production servers and taking responsibility for a wide variety of assignments and projects.

WINDOWS TECHNICAL ANALYST (back to list)

For the position of Windows Technical Analyst, MYRA is interested in individuals who possess a willingness to learn and take on new challenges. Candidates must have an MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer), a minimum of 1 year experience working in the IT field and well-developed oral and written English communication skills. Candidates must also enjoy working in a team led by Project Managers yet have the ability to work independently and assume personal responsibility for their task assignments.

Preference will be given to candidates with an understanding of supporting and troubleshooting Windows 2003/2000/NT production environments.

Assignments for Windows Technical Analysts include participation in teams which implement major computer infrastructure changes, proactively identifying and providing solutions for technical issues, preparation of detailed implementation plans and preparation of customer presentations. Windows Technical Analysts are encouraged to identify and escalate delivery issues to appropriate team members.

PROJECT MANAGER (back to list)

For the position of Project Manager, MYRA is interested in a well-organized and results-oriented individual with demonstrated experience working in a team environment on information technology projects. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory or project management role within an organization; the ability to effectively interact with technicians, managers and customers; the ability to work independently; and excellent organizational skills as well as verbal and written English skills. Familiarity with computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets and browsers is also mandatory.

Preference will be given to candidates with a university degree or equivalent training and experience. Although this is not a technical position, an understanding of computer technologies such as security, network and operations procedures is desired.

The role of Project Manager involves customer relations, budget management, project delivery and staff scheduling. Managers facilitate the delivery of services to our customers and guide projects to completion. As a Project Manager you will participate in customer needs assessments, develop and present technical solutions, manage project resourcing and budgets, and ensure the satisfaction of our customers. MYRA is proud of our ability to meet the high expectations of our customers and our Project Managers play a key role in maintaining our excellent reputation for service delivery.

BUSINESS CONSULTANT (back to list)

MYRA is interested in qualified Business Consultants with a proven ability to reconcile business requirements and technology-related solutions. Candidates must have a minimum of five years experience in IT with atleast two years in an IT consulting role, and two years as a project manager within an organization; the ability to facilitate and direct group discussion into tangible results; the ability to work independently; and excellent presentation skills as well as verbal and written English skills.

Preference will be given to candidates with a university degree or equivalent training and experience. Although this is not a technical position, an understanding of computer technologies such as security, network and operations procedures is desired.
