We are currently seeking a bookkeeper to work full time in our Victoria office. We have a hybrid work model.
What we need from you:

Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field. Or Courses in accounting or bookkeeping combined with several years of required experience as a financial or accounting clerk

Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using Quickbooks Premier and Xero
-
Post invoices, bills, journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, prepare year-end adjustments and preliminary financial statements

Prepare cheques and electronic fund transfers for various expenses that encompasses Accounts Payable functions

Prepares tax remittance calculations and tax remittance forms, workers' compensation forms for BC and NS, and other government documents

Prepare cash flow reports and other necessary financial and accounting reports

Experience in creating invoices for contracted customers, although sufficient training and mentoring will be provided

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel and Outlook

Attention to detail especially in invoice creation and bookkeeping

Ability work effectively in a team environment and independently

Excellent verbal and written English skills

Excellent administrative skills

Experience prioritizing and completing assignments to meet deadlines

Reliability and discretion due to the sensitive nature of the position

Willingness and ability to follow detailed instructions for various duties and learn new applications as required
You’ll score extra points if you have:

Xero, Quickbooks Premier, invoicing, accounts receivable, subcontracts and contract tracking experience

Understanding of computer technologies

Experience using ConnectWise Manage
