MYRA Systems Corp. is a BC company established in 1985. We provide professional IT services in Victoria and Vancouver (www.myra.com) and have approximately 40 employees.
We are currently seeking a well organized, exceptionally accurate and detail oriented Bookkeeper and Payroll Clerk to work full-time in our Victoria office.
Candidates must:

Be very competent and exact in Bookkeeping with at least 5 years of experience

Be very competent with Payroll with at least 5 years of payroll experience preferably with Payworks payroll services
-
Have a good understanding of GST and BC PST taxation requirements
-
Have proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
-
Be able to work effectively in a team environment by being flexible and supportive of others, and also be able to work independently

Have excellent verbal and written English skills
-
Have experience prioritizing and completing assignments to meet deadlines
-
Be reliable and discrete due to the sensitive nature of the position
Preference will be given to candidates with:
-
Significant experience in payroll and bookkeeping (QuickBooks preferably)
-
Experience in tax remittances, invoicing, accounts receivable, subcontracts and contract tracking

Experience working for Information Technology companies
