Bookkeeper and Payroll Clerk

MYRA Systems Corp. is a BC company established in 1985.  We provide professional IT services in Victoria and Vancouver ( and have approximately 40 employees.


We are currently seeking a well organized, exceptionally accurate and detail oriented Bookkeeper and Payroll Clerk to work full-time in our Victoria office.


Candidates must:

  • Be very competent and exact in Bookkeeping with at least 5 years of experience

  • Be very competent with Payroll with at least 5 years of payroll experience preferably with Payworks payroll services

  • Have a good understanding of GST and BC PST taxation requirements

  • Have proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Be able to work effectively in a team environment by being flexible and supportive of others, and also be able to work independently

  • Have excellent verbal and written English skills

  • Have experience prioritizing and completing assignments to meet deadlines

  • Be reliable and discrete due to the sensitive nature of the position


Preference will be given to candidates with:

  • Significant experience in payroll and bookkeeping (QuickBooks preferably)

  • Experience in tax remittances, invoicing, accounts receivable, subcontracts and contract tracking

  • Experience working for Information Technology companies
