MYRA has a long history of giving back to the community, and this year is no different. We have decided to maintain

our collaboration with the Greater Victoria Hospital Foundation in their new initiative, ‘It’s Critical’ to support the frontline workers and our healthcare system during these unusual times. MYRA and its employees are committed to the cause and working hard to find new ways to raise awareness and increase our overall contributions through various events and donations.

It’s Critical will nearly double critical care capacity at Royal Jubilee Hospital – both with new donor-funded equipment and a brand new High Acuity Unit. This will be the largest investment in critical care in Victoria in two decades and will allow donors to make a tangible impact on the COVID-19 response for Vancouver Island.

For more information about the charity, the campaign or to donate, please visit their Website:  https://www.victoriahf.ca/

MYRA is a proud yearly sponsor of the United Way.  Each year our team goals are to increase total contributions from the previous year and increase total number of staff participation.

We are excited to announce that MYRA’s team of 40-50 people

have exceeded our goal of raising $9,000 and with a participation rate of over 75% for the 2015/2016 year.

United Way is committed to identifying and addressing social issues and bringing about change. Their mission is to improve lives and build a strong and caring community.  They aim to address the immediate needs of the community on an annual basis, while creating long-term strategies to target the root causes of social issues.
